Hourly PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of the position is to prepare food as designated and serve meals to residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Dietary Manager.
ROLE and
Responsibilities:
Prepare meals in accordance with standardized menu (recipes, portions, and special diets).
Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Assist cook in preparing meals as necessary.
Assist in checking diet trays and carts before distribution.
Follow all safety, infection control, and universal precaution policies and procedures when preparing food, cleaning equipment, and performing other daily tasks.
Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the Dietary Manager immediately.
Assist in maintaining food storage areas, freezer, and cooler in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED Previous cooking experience in a senior living environment preferred.
Food Handling License, Serve Safe Certification a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
